The Orange Brilliant imperial crown is a sophisticated, tall bulbous plant. It delights both with its colour and unique form. Thick, erect, 80 to 90 centimetres tall shoots end with whorls of bell-shaped, bright orange, downward-bending flowers. Long, decorative stamens that protrude from flower centres, constitute an additional advantage of the plant, as do tufts of pointed, green leaves that grow in plumes above them. The noble appearance of an imperial crown guarantees that the plant will become a landmark in your garden. Fritillaries tower over other bulbs and perennials, creating a unique, almost architectural, style in plant compositions. Those plants give every border a noble flair and Orange Brilliant is no exception to this rule. This unique perennial will certainly make you proud, especially during the flowering season in April and May.

Impressive imperial crowns are not very difficult to grow. However, they need appropriate growing conditions. Their site should be warm, sunny, and sheltered from the wind. They require a humous, light, permeable, and deeply cultivated soil, preferably with a neutral reaction. Imperial crown bulbs are large and must be planted fifteen to twenty centimetres deep, ideally in late August and early September. We recommend putting a drainage layer at the bottom of the hole and placing the bulb at an angle that prevents from waterlogging. The good news is that you do not have to dig out bulbs every year. When doing it every several years, you allow bulbils to form and the plants to propagate.

Quoted price is valid for 50 Orange Brilliant crown imperial bulb. Look for the basic plant facts and growing instructions on the package label.
