The Pescara gladiolus will stun the surroundings with its rare, luxurious colour. Its velvety, characteristic flowers take on dark bordeaux-red colour. This rich, deep colouring looks black in dim light. The Pescara, a new cultivar of the Bambino group, grows vigorously up to 90 centimetres tall. Its flowers measure even 11 centimetres in diameter. Its flowers with a pearl shine and contrasting light anthers will spread its charm in on borders in summer. The bordeaux-red gladioli look equally great in the garden and in planters. They are great cut flowers too.

Planting gladioli bulbs shall start after the soil has warmed, optimally mid-April. Choose a site where the ground has a neutral reaction. The soil should be loosened, drained, and rich in nutrients. Gladioli like shade-less sites that are always bright. In order for the plants to grow abundantly they require regular yet straightforward maintenance. They should be regularly watered and fertilized, as well as weeded. Mulch the site. Corms of the presented species in general must be dug out before the winter. Store them at a temperature a few degrees Celsius above zero. We recommend placing them in ventilated containers and boxes.

One package contains 5 gladioli bulbs of the presented variety. These bulbs are sized 12/14 centimetres in circumference. The basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the package label.
