This set of wine bottles is simply ideal for storing home-made wine!

The glass these bottles are made of is certified for alcohol contact. The bottom of the bottle is profiled, what ensures that the lees stay at the bottom and do not go up even during stirring.

We advise to disinfect the bottles before filling them with wine with a 70% alcohol or a 2-3% solution of the potassium metabisulfite (potassium pyrosulfite) - 20-30 g of potassium metabisulfite per 1 l of water.

Wine should be store in a horizontal position that enables proper gas exchange through the cork.

Please remember to limit the exposure of wine to air - use the appropriate decanting tubes and siphons.

We recommend to soak the corks in boiling water for circa one minute before corking in order to make them more elastic.
