Signet marigold "Lemon Star" (Tagetes tenuifolia) is an annual plant that develops a bushy habit reaching 30 cm in height. Broadly branched tufts are covered with myriads of small, single blooms from summer to autumn. Inflorescences of the "Lemon Star" variety take on lemon yellow colour with a characteristic red ring running through the middle. Signet marigold with its round, ball-like blooms will look great on borders, flower beds, in containers and on edgings.
Signet marigold seeds should be sown early in spring under covers or mid-May directly to the ground. Prepare seedlings in a warm and well-lit room, as the seeds germinate most effectively at 16 - 20°C in stable humidity. You may transplant the seedlings outside keeping 30 cm distances between the plants. Signet marigolds are rather undemanding and grow well in every kind of soil both on sunny and partially shady sites. They are resistant to short-term water shortages.
Each package contains 0.3 g of lemon, red-rimmed "Lemon Star" signet marigold seeds. The package information contains a growing guide and the sow-by date.
