Peony undoubtedly belongs to the most beautiful species found in our gardens. Its delightful varieties include the Sorbet Paeonia. Its original, two-colour flowers brilliantly fit into the beginning of natural summer exchange of garden perennials. Pastel shades of pink and creamy-white go well together. The Sorbet peony flowers develop on erect, strong stems that can grow up to 90 cm. Those double, fragrant flower balls appear from May to July, creating an extraordinary display of natural beauty. Peony belongs to plants that every gardener can make a good use of. It looks spectacular planted single and maybe even more beautiful in a large group. It is suitable for planting on the edge of a sidewalk or driveway. Enchanting peonies harmonise delightfully with roses, bearded irises, and many other perennials.
Growing peonies in the garden is easy. When planted at a suitable site, they hardly require any care. They do not like and do not need to be transplanted, we recommend to choose a situation for them carefully and thoughtfully. Sunny or partially shaded spots offer the best growing conditions for peonies. The soil should be thoroughly cultivated and well fertilized. Keep soil moisture at an average level. Peonies are resistant to low temperatures, yet to make sure they survive the winter in top condition, cover the site with conifer twigs. The full flowering potential of this species can be expected two years after planting.
We hereby offer one seedling of the Sorbet peony. Basic plant information and growing tips can be found on the label.
