Sugar pea shoots (Pisum sativum), the most delicious parts of the plant, is yet another proposal from the renowned seed producer Legutko. Young stalks and green leaves of the sprouting pea reveal sweet taste and are juicy and firm. That is why they can be enjoyed as a healthy, low-calorie snack, added to sandwiches, salads, egg spreads, cottage cheese, or even stir-fried. Young plants contain plenty of easily assimilable nutrients, including a full set of vitamins (provitamin A, B vitamins, vitamins C and E) and minerals, as well as protein.

You can easily grow sugar pea shoots on your own, as their cultivation does not differ significantly from sprout production. You only need to sow seeds onto a vegetable bed or to a pot into permeable, light and aerated soil intended for seedling growing. The shoots will be ready for consumption after 10 - 14 days. Growing young "Baby Leaf" plants does not require any care apart from watering, and brings advantages in form of delicious, tender, healthy stems and leaves.

One package contains 20 g of Baby Leaf sweet pea seeds. The sow-by date has been printed at the back side of the package.
