The Sulphur Queen Peruvian daffodil (Hymenocallis) is a plant that we offer to all gardeners with a sophisticated taste who love exotic plants. This beautiful perennial that blooms in summer dazzles thanks to its charming flowers that take on the shape of deep cups. The corolla appendage of each flower is slightly frizzled and surrounded by six long petals. Flowers of the Sulphur Queen variety take on an elegant light yellow colour. Their pastel beauty is additionally underscored by the bright green colour of the erect, about 60-centimetres long stems and lanceolate, erect leaves.
Bulbs of this frost-sensitive plant should be planted late in spring and early in summer. In order to provide the enchanting Ismene with optimal conditions for flowering, give it a warm and sheltered, sunny site. The soil should be fertile, rather light, and continually moist during the flowering. Dig out the bulbs in autumn before the first frost and store them in a warm room. Presented plant can be grown successfully all year long in a greenhouse or in a pot that you should keep at home during the winter. Peruvian daffodils can form charming groups on a lawn. It is also worth presenting in the centre of a perennial border.
One package contains 10 bulbs of the Sulphur Queen Peruvian daffodil, sized 14/+ cm. Essential growing instructions have been printed on each package.
