The Pixie Delight summer lupine is a plant that many gardeners will like. An annual lupine species that develops thick stems that carry abundant inflorescences is a unique addition to perennial borders and an enrichment of colourful seasonal arrangements. The long pink, white, purple and blue spikes harmonize well with other plants. Lupines look marvellous as they tower over the lower growing species. They fit wonderfully alongside fences. The freshly open inflorescences supply excellent floristry material. The bouquets of the colourful lupines are always en vogue and will always attract attention in interiors.

The up to 100 cm tall western lupine, as this plant is also called, has an erect, tall appearance. The palmate, dark green leaves only add to the charm of these plants. The butterfly-shaped flowers are densely packed in conical clusters and can hardly be confused with any other plant. The long blooming period that spans from July to October is arguably the main advantage of this plant. Removing of the wilted inflorescences helps to maintain the ornamental value of the plants.

Seeds of the 'Pixie Delight' summer lupine should be sown directly onto the field in April and May. Keeping plants 15 x 20 cm apart enables the plants to grow freely. This species does not tolerate transplanting. It prefers sunny sites and light, medium quality, lime soil.

One package contains 3 grams of seeds. The basic growing tips and the sow-by date can be found at the back of the package.
