These plants grow to a maximum height of 15 - 25 cm, bloom long and abundantly, while their unusually large flowers may reach up to 10 cm in diameter. Garden pansies will adorn your borders and flower beds from early spring until autumn. They will allow you to create colourful highlights in your garden as well as in pots, bowls and balcony boxes. They look great both planted in larger groupings or on edgings.

Swiss garden pansies belong to plants that are the easiest in cultivation. You may grow them successfully from seeds sown indoors or on a seed bed in garden. Garden pansy seeds should be sown in summer. Since this plant is biennial, it will bloom only in the second year of culture. Young plants winter well, but we advise to cover and secure them so they last over the snowless winter. Transplant the seedlings to the permanent site in autumn or early spring.
