The Splendide Ballerina trailing begonia is a collector's variety with a unique, exotic colour. This amazing plant beats all the most popular garden plants at the time of flowering. Shimmering with myriads of shades of juicy yellow, orange, and apricot, it immediately creates a charming, tricolour accent in the vicinity of a house or apartment. Its large double flowers that crown a lush tuft of vividly green leaves appear all summer long. Cascading begonias, like the variety offered here, constitute a phenomenal decoration of home entrance and a hanging bowl on a balcony. These trailing begonias also allow creating compositions in boxes and tall planters.

Magnificent begonias do not have any special requirements. This species needs a moderately fertile, permeable, humous, slightly acidic, and moist soil. It likes slightly shaded positions, where they can hide their thick, succulent-like leaves from the scorching sun. The effort that begonia puts into intensive flowering should be supported by systematic fertilization with multi-ingredient preparations. It is also important to maintain constant, moderate humidity. In order for the plants to bloom as long as possible, it is recommended to remove blooms that have already faded.

Begonias can grow several years. To prolong tuber life, dig them up as soon as the autumn chill begins. Store them in boxes or baskets until spring in a cool and dry room with a stable temperature within the 7 to 10⁰C range. In the spring, plant tubers in pots again.

Each package contains two tubers of the trailing begonia Splendide Ballerina. Basic plant facts and a quick growing guide were printed on the packaging label.
