The Univittata hosta (Hosta) is a variety of the wavyleaf hosta group (Hosta 'Undulata'). This perennial is grown for its attractive bicolour leaves. It forms dense decorative tufts that look best in groups of three to ten plants. The slightly twisted leaves are broadly lanceolate, juicy green, and adorned with a creamy-white stripe that runs through the middle of the blade. Flowers that are gathered in loose clusters take on a light purple colour and appear in June. Presented variety belongs to the most popular hosta plants that grow in home gardens. The Univittata hosta is a perfect choice for many arrangements on borders and in pots due to its resistance to poor soil conditions, quick growth, and tolerance of larger exposure to sunlight. We recommend planting it together with hosta varieties that develop unicolour leaves.

You can plant hostas almost all season long. Choose sheltered sites with dispersed sunlight, e.g. under tree corollas and larger shrubs. This plant grows well in fertile, humous-sandy, moist yet not wet soil. It belongs to undemanding, easy-to-grow perennials. It will not die even when faced with some gardener's mistakes.  Presented species is resistant to diseases and pests. Only slugs can pose a threat to beautiful hosta foliage. We recommend watering, mulching, and moderate fertilizing of hosta plants in the first few years after planting.

Indicated price is valid for 1 one first-choice rhizome of the presented hosta variety. The bag with the rhizome is equipped with a label that contains basic plant facts and growing instructions.
