Vuelta belongs to large-flowered gladiolus varieties. It combines exuberant inflorescences and the red, always stylish, colour. Saturated, bright flower colour and noble appearance of this species has been valued for years on the borders in the garden and in planters. It is hard to think of many seasonal compositions and large bouquets without gladioli. Red gladioli are one of the trademarks of this species. The sensual bright red flowers of the Vuelta variety that sit high on tall stems refresh the garden with their bold colour. Plant gladioli bulbs in spring. The average planting depth is eight to ten centimetres. We recommend treating bulbs before planting to protect them from diseases. To achieve optimal results, plant gladioli in a fertile, deeply cultivated, moderately moist soil that is rich in humus. Do not let the gladioli site dry in the season. Provide them with nutrients by the means of supplying with appropriate fertilizers.

Gladioli cannot winter in the ground in Central European climate. Starting mid-September, dig out the corms, trim the stems, and let the corms dry. After cleaning the bulbs off stem and root rests, sort them in batches and put into airy containers. Store those over the winter in dry rooms where temperature remains constant, a few degrees Celsius over zero.
