The Albandeira gladiolus combines yellow and red colours in a unique way. Its funnel-shaped flowers gathered in two-sided spikes personify optimism. Their large, soft petals with corrugated edges are coloured light yellow. A bright red spot can be seen within the flower perianth. This magnificent flowering plant grows up to 120 centimetres tall and looks great in company of varieties with like colours. Gladioli are all-purpose plants that harmonize well with other species. They allow you to create an intriguing multidimensional composition. They fit into tasteful arrangements and enchant in a less formal border setting. Thanks to their erect growth form, gladioli wonderfully present their charm in pots and planters. You can place them on a balcony or in a terrace corner in that form. After the first two bottom buds open, it is the optimal time to cut flowers. Abundant spikes of those noble blooms might require staking in the garden.
Schedule planting gladiolus bulbs for the end of April and beginning of May. Eight to twenty centimetres is the right spacing between single plants. Put corms eight to ten centimetres deep with the pointed end facing up. Gladioli should receive a sunny situation that is sheltered from wind. In order to flower exuberantly, they need a well-cultivated, humous, permeable soil. Water gladioli as the need arises with a thin stream that would soak well into the soil. Avoid pouring water on leaves.
One package contains 5 gladioli bulbs of the presented variety. These bulbs are sized 12/14 centimetres in circumference. The basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the package label.
