In the autumn, the Asparagus Pea grows characteristic flanked quadrangular legumes. It is a very universal plant; the legumes can be eaten raw, whereas the plant is commonly used as an ornamental variety in rockeries or flower beds.
Growing: sow the seeds directly into the soil from April to May. Grow the plants in 20x30cm spacings; well taken care of, they flower from July to October. This variety loves sunny positions and thrives in any type of garden soil.
