The dwarf "Kameliowa Karłowa (Dwarf camelia)" balsam (Impatiens balsamina fl. Pl.) is an annual garden plant intended for growing in the field and in containers. Fleshy, broadly branched stems, that grow up to 40-70 cm tall, are covered with lanceolate leaves. Their surface is dark green, shiny with denticulate edges. Numerous flowers that accompany the leaves on the stems constitute the main attraction of this species. They take on various pastel colours. Flowers in different shades of white, pink, coral-red and purple are visible from afar. These large and flat blooms stay on the plant for a very long time. This garden balsam, as this plant is also called, will decorate the flower beds and borders in the garden. It also looks great in containers, hence may be used in all balcony or terrace arrangements.
Seeds of the presented species are sown in early spring in March - April in heated rooms or in May to a permanent site outside. These plants require 25 x 40 cm spacings. They start to bloom in July and continue over the summer and early autumn. The soil needs to be constantly moist, permeable and fertile. Balsams grow well both at sunny and partially shady locations.
One package contains 0.5 g of the "Kameliowa Karłowa (Dwarf camelia)" balsam seeds. Growing instructions and the sow-by date were printed on the package.
