Evening Star, otherwise known as Lindley's Blazing Star, is an annual plant with glamorous yellow flowers that produce a delicate, yet very beautiful aroma. Its raised shoots branch out in the upper section and grow 50 to 70 centimetres in height. Evening Star has been cultivated since the 18th century and has remained a relatively rare species.
Growing: sow the seeds in open space in full sun. Plant out in 20cm spacings at most due to its tendency to reclining. This variety requires fairly moist permeable rich soils in order to thrive. The plants flower from June to September. Do not cultivate in pots.
