The 'Asia' lettuce is a delicious butterhead variety. It is an early cultivar that is perfectly suited for cultivation in the field and in greenhouses. It develops large, oval heads that consist of bright green subtly shining leaves. They look great in salads and sandwiches. Firm, yet tender leaves of the 'Asia' lettuce provide a simple way to garnish your plates and platters. Lettuce is a vegetable whose flavour fits into the majority of dishes. It is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and therefore enriches your daily fare. The presented variety is easy to grow and undemanding. It is resistant to spring frosts down to -5⁰C. We recommend to have this vegetable at hand every time on your vegetable bed. A freshly cut lettuce head will add a fresh note and diversification to everyday meals. It will add colour to sandwiches and help you when friends unexpectedly call on you.

Seeds of the 'Asia' lettuce should be sown from March to April, preferably onto seeding trays. The seedlings can be transplanted after 5 to 6 weeks. Plant the delicate seedlings in rows 30 centimetres apart and 20 to 25 centimetres apart in rows. You can sow directly into the ground from April to June.

Lettuce produces shapely high quality heads in fertile, sufficiently moist soil that is rich in nutrients. Bright sunny sites or partial shade is recommended for lettuce cultures.
