The 'Asia' lettuce is a delicious butterhead variety. It is an early cultivar that is perfectly suited for cultivation in the field and in greenhouses. Seeds of the 'Asia' lettuce should be sown from March to April, preferably onto seeding trays. The seedlings can be transplanted after 5 to 6 weeks. Plant the delicate seedlings in rows 30 centimetres apart and 20 to 25 centimetres apart in rows. You can sow directly into the ground from April to June.

Lettuce produces shapely high quality heads in fertile, sufficiently moist soil that is rich in nutrients. Bright sunny sites or partial shade is recommended for lettuce cultures.
