Butterhead Lettuce ‘Mirage’ is a butterhead variety that winters directly in the soil. With fairly dense closed green leaves, its heads grow medium in size. Also, the leaves are curled and, very tasty, they are a great addition to various dishes and salads. Butterhead Lettuce ‘Mirage’ is one of the more fertile butterhead lettuce varieties.

Growing: sow the seeds directly into the soil in August. Plant out into a permanent position in 20-30x15-25cm spacings in September. The plants are usually ready to be harvested around May.
