Cock's-foot, orchard grass Niva (Dactylis glomerata) is a reliable Danish variety, characterized by excellent vigor and a medium-early yield. This grass spreads well and grows vigorously, producing high yields of dry matter several times a season. The grass offered in our store is a representative of the resistant winter-hardy species. It is also very sensitive to spring frosts. Due to its high energy value, it is used primarily on pastures. Like the other varieties of cocksfoot, Niva develops wide-spread, strong, deep roots and is considered a very expansive grass variety. Its development will not be impaired extended drought periods. It uses fertilizers efficiently and is resistant to trampling. It belongs to the varieties most commonly used in ready-made grass seed mixtures for pastures.
