Creamy-white Mexican marigold "Kilimanjaro" (Tagetes erecta fl. pl.) belongs to the easiest in cultivation, most resistant and longest blooming annual ornamental flowering plants that can be seen in our gardens. We offer a new, exceptionally beautiful variety with large, double creamy-white flowers that are on equal terms in regard to ornamental value with zinnias and the most beautiful varieties of peony asters.

Seeds of the creamy-white Mexican marigold "Kilimanjaro" can be sown onto hotbeds and into pots in early spring or directly to the permanent site starting mid-May. Plants grow rapidly and evenly, forming erect, densely leaved, slender stems that grow 50 - 70 cm tall. Exuberant single flower heads develop on their tops. First buds open already in June, the last in autumn and adore the borders until the October frosts. Mexican marigolds bloom abundantly on average garden soils, only heavy and waterlogging soils should be avoided. They need access to sunlight. This proposed variety with pompom-like creamy-white blooms are recommended for planting with lower pot marigold, such as the brightly coloured varieties "Pascal", "Orange Flame" or "Red Marietta". It will also look charming in company of asters, zinnias, chrysanthemums, garden pansies or flossflowers.
