The crown imperial, also known as Kaiser's crown, is bulbous plant that belongs to the lily family. It had been known as an ornamental plant since the ancient times. We hereby offer an unique variety of this plant, called Brahms. This fascinating flower dazzles with its unusual pink-apricot colour. The truly royal impressive bell-shaped flowers create a splendid show on the background of a flower bed. The stiff, strong stalks surrounded by the lanceolate leaves harmoniously complement the exuberant clusters of flowers. In contrary to the other crown imperial varieties, the Brahms is completely scentless. This Kaiser's crown, ornamental thanks to its charming and elegant salmon-pink flowers, grows 60 to 90 cm tall and 17 to 20 cm wide.

The plants that develop from relatively large bulbs prefer sunny situations. You may plant them on sites bathed in dispersed light, such as the vicinity of trees with sparse foliage, too. The impressive bulbs of the crown imperial require a permeable, humous and deeply cultivated soil. The soil should be moist, but it needs a good drainage at the same time. It turns out to be the key factor in growing of this species. The Brahms variety of the crown imperial requires watering during the entire season, apart from the dormancy stage. Plant the bulbs about 20 cm deep below the surface and always take into consideration the size of the bulb. Start the planting at the end of August and continue until the end of September. Cover the plantings with conifer twigs and dried leaves before the winter and exchange that mulch for compost in the spring. The bulbs do not need to be excavated after each and every season.

The Brahms variety can form a reliable, seasonal decoration of a border, perennial grouping or plantings in vicinity of smaller trees and shrubs. The rows of crown imperial plants look great when planted alongside building walls and fences.

The price quoted here is valid for 10 pieces of the Brahms imperial crown bulbs measuring 14/+ cm in circumference.
