"Aston F1" cucumber (Cucumis sativus) is an early cucumber variety. This parthenocarpic cultivar shows high resistance to unfavourable conditions and diseases, guaranteeing reliable crops. This typical salad variety is intended for cultivation under covers from spring to autumn. It develops slender fruit that grow 10 - 12 cm long. It shows evenly coloured, dark green peel with small warts. Another advantage of the "Aston F1" fruit lies in the fact that it is devoid of bitterness. They are perfectly suited for salads and may also be pickled short-term.
This presented variety is grown under covers from early spring sow. Cucumber seeds are sown from March to April in a warm and bright room. The ready seedlings are transplanted in May in 50 x 60 cm spacings. The plants should be tied. The fruit ripen from May to October. Cucumber needs plenty of sunlight and warmth, as well as access to nutrients and water, to grow well and yield rich crops.
