Pickling cucumber "Basza F1" (Cucumis sativus) stands out from its relatives with extraordinary productivity and incomparable tolerance to the most common gourd family diseases. Its cylindrical, firm fruit are covered with dark green peel with almost invisible smudges. The surface hosts rather few, quite large warts. The fruit do not show a tendency to overgrow, hence they are great material for marinating and pickling. Processed cucumbers are very rich in vitamins B1, B2, C, E and K.
Seeds of the proposed variety are sown directly in the field in spring, after the late frosts. One should choose a sunny site sheltered from the cold eastern winds. Seeds should be sown into thoroughly loosened, medium compact, humus soil, possibly with a neutral reaction. "Basza F1" cucumbers are harvest-ready rather early, from July to September.
Each package contains 5 g of "Basza" pickling cucumber seeds. Package information contains a growing guide and the sow-by date.
