Junak F1 is one of the earlierst small-wart field cucumber varieties. It had been recently developed in Poland and has quickly won a large number of admirers. It is an early variety with a very high ratio of marketable yield to the total yield. It produces green, regularly shaped fruit with blunt endings. It does not show any tendency to overgrow nor to produce empty seed cores. One of the biggest advantages of this cucumber variety lies in its resistance to diseases, particularly cucumber scab and downy mildew.

Fruit of the "Junak F1" cucumber are ideal for processing. They can be marinated and pickled. They also taste great consumed directly after the harvest. Seeds are sown in May, while the harvest starts end of July and lasts until September.
