The 'Muza' French bean is a medium early dwarf variety. It grows a s compact, 40 to 55 cm tall bushes and develops a strong root system. This variety stands out with the excellent health of both the plants and pods, allowing you to grow excellent vegetable in both amateur and industrial cultures. The pods sit quite high on the plants, ca. 18 cm above the ground. The green, shapely, evenly sized fruit with almost no strings are slightly shiny. They reach length of 14 to 16 cm. These pods are delicious and their taste is slightly more distinct than the taste of the yellow varieties. We recommend to eat them directly after the harvest or to preserve them.
Sow the 'Muza' bean seeds directly to the ground from mid-May to mid-July in rows 40 x 60 cm apart, keeping the plants 10 cm apart. Sow 2 to 5 cm deep. The harvesting time depends on the exact sowing date and may spread from July to end of October.
French bean has some cultivation requirements that you should better meet in order to achieve high volume and quality crops. This plant likes warmth and does not tolerate temperature drops too well. It is sensitive to strong wind, hence we recommend to grow it on wind-sheltered sites. Water shortages always result in reducing yield volume and quality. Permeable, humous, non-crusting soil proves to be the best for French bean cultures.
