Eko Bison grass offered here are leaves of the sweet grass (Hierochloe odorata) that are commonly used in alcohol distilling. It delights with a tender aroma and characteristic taste that intensifies after drying the grass. It contains large amounts of coumarin, a substance with a pleasant, vanilla-coconut flavour, and other compounds that are responsible for its specific flavour and taste properties. This is also the reason it is used for adding aroma to vodka, liqueurs and liquor. It is also sometimes used in cosmetics industry, in production of perfumes and balms. You may also use it in the kitchen as a herb. Some doctors claim it has soothing and anti-inflammatory properties.

The sweet grass, also called Bison grass, offered here in our store is grown at the organic, ecological sites in the middle of the Bialowieza primeval forest. Dried grass is used in production of the home made Zubrovka. Add 1-2 leaves to a 0.5 litre bottle of pure vodka and let stand for 10-14 days. After that time the liquor should dazzle with the characteristic golden-green colour and excellent taste.
