French marigold "Champion Flame" (Tagetes patula nana) is a dwarf variety that grows up to maximum 20 cm tall. This compact plant with a dense, round habit develops attractive, double, bicolour inflorescences. It is a valuable ornamental plant that owes its popularity to early and long blooming. Mahogany-golden blooms adorn the plants from spring until first autumn frosts. Low growing "Champion Flame" marigold may be planted on border edgings. It will also add colour to flower beds and borders. It will make for magnificent decoration of a balcony or windowsill planted in pots and boxes.

This easily cultivated and undemanding plant may be grown from seeds. Early spring is the right moment to sow marigold seeds indoors, especially when you want the plants to bloom at the start of the summer already. You may also sow marigold seeds directly to the field in mid-spring. Choose a sunny site for French marigold cultivation, because plants that grow in partial shade produce significantly less blooms. French marigold has low requirements in regard to the soil, it should not contain too much nitrogen, because the plants would produce more foliage at the cost of leaves then.

Each package contains 0.5 g of "Champion Flame" French marigold seeds. The package information contains a growing guide and the sow-by date.
