Globe Amaranth is an annual plant that grows up to 30 centimetres in height; its most distinctive features include the branched shoots and the multi-coloured, predominantly purple flowers with round heads. Flowering from July to October, Globe Amaranth is a wonderful plant for planters or flower beds; it is also used in a dried form in dried bouquets or flower arrangements.

Growing: sow the seeds under cover from March to April or directly into the soil from April to May. Plant out into a permanent position in 20x30cm spacings in May. This variety prefers sunny positions and thrives in fertile humus soils.
