The 'Milly - Elena' lettuce is an early variety that proves to being excellent results in greenhouses and in the open field. It yields premium quality crops that do not tend to shoot flowering stalks. This lettuce cultivar develops large heads that consist of green leaves with a hint of yellow. The surface of the leaves is slightly glossy. The 'Milly-Elena' lettuce is very tasty. Its leaves are moderately thick, crunchy and juicy. The heads stand out with their compact structure. They are usually round or transversely elliptical. The vegetation period of this variety lasts 45-47 days.

You can sow in greenhouses from the beginning of the year, but the cultivation of lettuce usually starts in mid-May. The recommended spacing is 30-40 cm between the rows. The spacing between plants in a row cannot be smaller than 20 cm so that the heads can grow freely. Plant 12 to 16 lettuce heads on one square meter. Lettuce plants should be cultivated in an aerated, warm, permeable soil that is sufficiently moist.

The neutral, yet pleasant taste of this lettuce allows you to use them in dishes that will appeal to every taste. Sandwiches and dishes decorated with lettuce leaves always look nice and taste better. It is not true that lettuce is a vegetable with no nutritional value. The composition of the green leaves is rich in vitamins and minerals as well as antioxidants. In addition to that, lettuce has an antibacterial, deacidifying and refreshing effect on the body.
