Lamb's Ear is a perennial variety; it grows about 30 centimetres in height and features elliptical leaves, below which slight red flowers that strongly resemble ears begin to appear in a period from July to August. Lamb's Ear is all covered with small hair and is an attractive variety for flower beds, planters or rockeries.
Growing: sow the seeds in planter boxes or directly into the soil from April to June. Plant out to a permanent position in 20-30cm spacings from July to August. The plants grow well in fairly dry and sandy-clay soils in sunny positions.
