Lime for trees and shrubs from Florovit® is a high quality product intended for autumn and winter use. Liming trees is not required in order to make plants look better, but to protect them from frost and breaking of the bark. Sun often heats tree trunks and branches at the end of winter and make sap circulate again. This phenomenon proves to be particularly dangerous for the plants, when temperature drops significantly during the night, freezing the sap and causing harm to plant tissues and bark breaks. Young, tender shoots often die and fresh wounds form a perfect environment for infectious microorganisms.

Presented product may be used for liming trunks of fruit tree and small fruit, as well as ornamental plants. It has been enriched with natural substances that improve adhesiveness, so the lime sticks to trunks and branches. Therefore, it does not get washed away by rain snow easily. Our lime is easy to apply even on uneven surfaces and the work is additionally facilitated by a brush included in the set. Lime should be dissolved with water before use. Cover the whole surface of the trunk and branch bases with the prepared solution. Liming should be performed in autumn and if it is needed, you may repeat it regularly until end of the winter.

Preparation of the solution:

Mix the contents of the package with 2 litres of water, wait 15 minutes and stir again.
Cover the trunks and bases of the branches with the prepared dense solution.
