Marigold ‘Red Marietta’ is an annual variety with a plethora of 3 to 4 centimetre-broad mahogany flowers with a narrow orange stripe on the edge of each inflorescence. Growing 20-30 centimetres in height, Marigold ‘Red Marietta’ flowers richly over a period which spans from June to late autumn. This highly decorative variety is suitable for flower beds and planters.
Growing: sow the seeds under cover in April or directly into the soil in early May. The seeds germinate in 7 to 10 days at 16-20oC. During the second half of May, plant the seedlings out into a permanent position in 20x30cm spacings. The plants thrive in any type of soil in sunny or slightly shaded positions.
