Microgreens - Red radish - young leaves with unique taste (Raphanus sativus) offers a very easy way to make your meals tastier and healthier. Microgreens are popular plants harvested at an early development stage. Similar to sprouts, you may grow them at home all year long. These young leaves are, however, grown in the soil and harvested when they would have developed first true leaves. They contain even more valuable substances than sprouts or ripe vegetables. Young radish contains large amounts of vitamin A, C and PP. It will also provide your body with magnesium, iron, calcium and zinc. Savoury, juicy and tender tasting young shoots and leaves constitute a priceless addition to salads, cheese and eggs.
Growing vegetables of the Microgreens series is very easy and unproblematic. Radish seeds are sown to a flat container or a box. A permeable, light soil would fit this purpose. Spread a thin layer of seeds on the surface of the soil and water them. Sprinkle the culture with water two times daily. Red radish sprouts grow quickly and you will be able to harvest tasty crops in already two weeks.
