Microgreens - Rocket, arugula (the annual variety) belongs to the leaf vegetables that enjoy high popularity. These delicious leaves that strike with a distinct taste are also easy to grow. Now it is even easier and there is a new method available. We hereby offer seeds recommended for home growing of micro leaves. Microgreens are aromatic and full of important nutrients. They are therefore perfectly suited for use in delicious salads and addition to other dishes. Microgreens are young plants that have developed cotyledons and at least one pair of true leaves. They are eaten whole, cut close to the surface onto which they have been sown. Everybody knows the properties and nutritional value of rocket leaves. The high content of vitamin C, minerals, essential oils and organic acids is just a fraction of its nutritional wealth.

Rocket microgreens have a distinct taste, are savoury and slightly nutty in taste. They perfectly complement Mediterranean dishes and enrich salads, casseroles and tortillas. They taste great with poultry, fish and meat. Young rocket leaves add a slightly savoury note to various dishes and make their taste more appealing.

Growing microgreens on your own is easy. You only need to find a shallow dish with some soil - standard garden or pot soil will do the trick. Containers with drain holes are preferred, as they allow you to easily get rid of the excess humidity. Sow seeds densely, press them into the surface. You do not have to cover them with soil. This will prevent the edible parts of plants from getting stained. We recommend to use a sprinkler for watering the culture - this simple device will tenderly and evenly distribute water. Maintaining stable, moderate humidity is essential. Crops are harvested after 2 to 3 weeks, when the first true leaves appear. The cultivation at home can take place all year long and you will therefore always have access to fresh, delicious leaves.
