Napa cabbage 'Michihili' is a variety that may be grown both for spring and autumn harvest. It produces compact, medium-sized, cylindrical heads. Its leaves have white veining and green, wrinkled, soft leaf blades. Napa cabbage (Brassica rapa) provides high nutritional and dietary value. It is a source of fibre, beta-carotene, vitamins B1, B2, B9, E and C. It also supplies you with minerals (potassium, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium). Its leaves also contain valuable antioxidants, such as the anticancer sulphoraphane. The variety offered in our store yields richest crops during the short days. It is resistant to temperatures down to -3ºC in the final stage of heads development.
You may eat napa cabbage all year long, preferably raw, but it also tastes great cooked and pickled. It has a more distinct taste than white head cabbage and is at the same time milder and ideal for salads. You will harvest large, nicely shaped, vividly coloured heads from a sunny site and moist, humous, non-crusting and moderately compact soil.
Packages available in our store contain 1 g of the 'Michihili' napa cabbage seeds.
