The Odessa calla lily produces trumpet-shaped flowers that take on a dark purple colour. You can use them in a variety of ways: grow it as a pot plant at home, transplant to a garden border in summer, or grow it for extremely durable cut flowers. The 30 to 40 centimetres tall calla lily originates from Southern Africa. The dense, even compact growth form of this plant is exceptionally elegant and looks splendid both in pots, planters, and in the garden. Cala lily have a minimalistic design that is considered their main asset. The Odessa arum lily constitutes a wonderful idea for a unusual home or garden decoration with its almost black flowers.
Calla bulbs require a warm, sunny or partially shady site. This plant needs a continually moist, yet not waterlogged soil. It prefers cultivated, light, permeable soil with neutral reaction. You can fertilize bulbs three weeks after planting with complex mineral fertilizers that contain both macro and micro nutrients. Calla lily does not belong to hardy plants and even the tiniest frost can damage it. You must dig out bulbs immediately after the leaves turn brown.
We hereby offer one Odessa calla lily bulb sized 18/20 centimetres in circumference. Basic plant facts and growing instructions were printed on the package label.
