The lawn perennial ryegrass 2N Nira (Lolium perenne) belongs to loose, slow-growing, broadly spreading and resistant grasses. The proposed variety develops rather small dark green leaves, that are responsible for its high decorative value. Due to the fact that it tolerates trampling very well and regenerates quickly after damage, Nira is suitable not only for decorative lawns, but also for sports fields and recreational lawns in parks and home gardens. This winter-hardy, disease-resistant grass shows excellent vigor in less fertile soils. It is not affected by predominantly shady sites, frequent mowing or frosty, snowless weather, so it remains dense and beautiful for many seasons.
