Pink "Cascade" petunia (Petunia x hybrida pendula) fully deserves its name. This beautiful annual plant develops sprawling stems up to 60 cm long that are abundantly covered with blooms the whole summer long and even in autumn (May - October). Cup-shaped, paper thin blooms are pink and large (6 to 7 cm in diameter). They completely cover the stems and only seldom you could spot green, oval leaves between them. Pink "Cascade" petunia needs a sunny or partially shady site with fertile, permeable soil in order to bloom abundantly.
Seeds are sown under heated covers or at home, under glass, end of February and in March. Seedlings are thinned to 6 x 6 cm spacings and transplanted in mid-May to target containers or to elevated borders. Petunia with sprawling, cascading habit grows well in the ground, as it is only sensitive to heavy rainfall. It is, however, mostly planted in pots, bowls, hanging baskets and boxes at home and on balconies.
One package contains 0.02 g of pink "Cascade" petunia seeds. The sow-by date and growing guide have been printed on the back side of the package.
