The Queen Josephine hosta is a bicolour variety that develops regularly shaped, large tufts. Its heart-shaped, shiny leaves have dark green centres and light edge that starts yellow to turn almost white in summer. The pale pinkish purple flowers appear on slender stalks in July and August. The Queen Josephine hosta takes on a rather classic hosta look. It does not mean that it is plain or boring. Hosta, a winter hardy plant that tolerates various growing conditions, is a long-lived perennial that forgives mistakes of less experienced gardeners. This excellent plant should grow in every garden.

Shade illuminated with dispersed light is the perfect place to plant hosta. That is why cultivation under tree corollas brings excellent results. These plants like fertile, humous, moist soil with a neutral or only slightly acidic reaction. You can leave hosta unattended for a longer time, what proves to be a great advantage for all those who cannot afford to take care of their garden every day.

Developing hostas form excellent partnerships with bulbous plants and later in the season with shade-loving perennials: ivy, lily-of-the-valley, heart-leaf bergenia, and goat's beard. You can also combine it with annuals into unique compositions with the ever-flowering begonia and busy Lizzie.

Indicated price is valid for 1 one first-choice rhizome of the presented hosta variety. The bag with the rhizome is equipped with a label that contains basic plant facts and growing instructions.
