The 'Betina' red beetroot, here presented in the professional calibrated seeds series, is a premium quality product. It produces the ideally round roots that are covered with a smooth skin. These exceptionally large roots are characterized by their saturated colouring and high juice content. This variety guarantees high quality and high volume yield. The 'Betina' beetroot is a vigorous and resistant vegetable. It is also easy to grow.

Red beetroots can be used in a variety of ways. We recommend to eat it and process directly after the harvest. Juicy beetroots taste great as a side dish or an addition to a healthy salad. The 'Betina' beetroot supplies excellent material for making into preserves. Juice, borscht, concentrate will become a source of vitamins and minerals. Eating beetroots leads to deacidification and detoxification of the body. This vegetable supports the functioning of the cardiovascular system and the liver.

Calibrated (divided according to their size into groups) seeds ensure even germination and stronger growth. You will notice the higher quality of the emergence at the germination stage and this directly translates into better and richer yield. The carefully selected seeds of the similar size enable precise sowing and reduce the seed rate by 10 to 20 per cent in comparison to the traditional sow. Numerous research projects prove that calibrated seeds - the largest ones - display the highest vigour and germination strength. They bring regularly shaped and sized yield of perfect presence and quality.

Red beetroots seeds should be sown from April to June. We recommend to sow beetroot seeds on sufficiently moist soils that are rich in nutrients. This vegetable does not like soil acidity and should therefore be cultivated in soils with a neutral reaction. It requires a sunny site. The results of cultivation in the shade or in high density will not bring the desired results. Beetroots are tolerant for the majority of garden soil types.  Only the waterlogging, acidic and extremely sandy sites should be avoided. Cultivation on sites that were enriched with manure the previous season brings the best results.
