Red clover "Krynia" (Trifolium pratense) is a medium early variety that is characterized by quick regrowth in the spring and after the first cut. This is a valued productive pasture plant that brings highly nutritional fodder. It is rich in proteins, vitamins and minerals and therefore is considered a valuable fodder for the cattle and horses. This exceptionally valuable variety can be cut both for green forage and hay. The red clover starts to bloom at the end of May already and continues until September. Its pink flowers have a nice scent and are eagerly visited by bees and other insects. That is why it is also often grown as a melliferous plant. We also recommend to grow it for seeds, because it yields plenty of them.

Seeds of the red clover should be sown in early spring in order to be able to perform the first cut in the first year already. The Krynia variety may be grown from pure sowing and in mixture with grasses or other pasture plants. The seeding norm in pure sowing is 10 to 15 kg per ha. The soil needs to be carefully weeded and thoroughly cultivated before the sow. This plant will yield the richest crops on fertile, sufficiently moist, lime soils. Cut the clover when it is in the bud development or early blooming stage. This variety grows back rapidly, allowing for three to four cuts in a single season. The hardiness and high resistance to fungal diseases belong to advantages of this clover too.

Each package contains 1 kg seeds of the Krynia red clover. The sow-by date has been printed on the package.
