The 'Ozarowska' red bell pepper belongs to the best Polish-bred varieties. It produces fleshy, dark red, very large fruit. The extraordinary productivity of the variety is the result of reliable fruit setting, even in worse temperature and lighting conditions. This cultivar, resistant to fungal diseases, is recommended for cultivation in greenhouses, but can be grown in the open field in favourable conditions. The medium tall plants require pruning and staking.

The block-type fruit of this paprika variety are regularly shaped. Their thick walls are sweet, incredibly juicy, firm and crunchy. Apart from the excellent taste, they supply you with a huge dose of vitamin C, B vitamins as well as such elements as magnesium, iron, calcium. They are recommended primarily for eating raw as an addition to sandwiches, salads and spreads. They taste delicious cooked, roasted or steamed. Stuffed bell peppers are considered a true delicacy. Vinegar pickled peppers taste great with cold meat and cheese.

Growing peppers in Central European climate involves preparing seedlings in early spring. The well developed seedlings are transferred to the permanent site 50 x 40 cm apart after the risk of frost has passed. Peppers require warmth and plenty of water, they prefer fertile, humus soils with high water capacity, yet not waterlogging ones. A sunny, sheltered place is preferable.
