Sweet Pepper ‘Oda’ is a very fertile early variety that produces unique purple fruit. Suitable for soil and covered cultivation, this plant grows 35 to 40 centimetres in height and is resistant to unfavourable conditions; it grows in a raised form. The fruit, with a slightly rounded edge, are medium-sized, and while the young fruit are purple, they turn brownish-red as they mature. Also, the Sweet Pepper ‘Oda’ fruit have a thick and very tasty flesh.
Growing: sow the seeds in pallet planters or in planter boxes in March. The seeds germinate in 10 to 14 days at 18-20°C. Prick out the seedlings that have developed one pair of leaves into pots with a diameter of 7 to 8 centimetres or into pallet planters with a diameter of 6 centimetres. Plant out into the soil in 40-50cm spacings in the second half of May. Grow the plants in sunny positions in moist fertile soils; warm soils are recommended.
