Timothy grass Alma (Phleum pratense) is a nutritionally valuable, durable loose-bunch grass, recommended for cultivation on pastures and meadows. It produces long tillers densely covered with leaves. Its tufts thicken nicely and since it does not belong to particularly expansive species, it can be used in grass seed mixtures. As a source of fresh forage eagerly eaten by animals, Timothy grass Alma has a very positive effect on the palatability of pasture grass. The variety presented in our store grows well in cool and humid places. It is also resistant to winter frosts - even in the absence of snow cover - and it can withstand late frosts in the spring without any damage. It provides a high yield of fresh green mass and hay several times a season.
