Cucumber "Atlas Pola F1" (Cucumis sativus) is an early, pickling-type heterotic hybrid variety that bears fruit with medium-sized warts. This plant shows increased productivity and unparalleled quality of its cylindrical, vividly green fruit that do not tend to stain. Warts covering their peel are small with white tips. "Atlas Pola F1" cucumbers are fitted for pickling and marinating, while the high resistance of this plant to dangerous diseases, including downy and powdery mildew, guarantees rich, high quality crops.
Sow the seeds to containers and seeding trays in spring. Cultivation from direct sow to the open field also brings satisfying results. If you intend to proceed that way, choose a later term, like end of May and beginning of June. Hybrid cultivars of the field cucumbers require high quality soils that are moist, yet not too heavy, fertile and rich in organic matter at the same time. "Atlas Pola F1" will bear numerous, large fruit in lesser soil, too, provided you fertilise it properly. The cucumbers full of vitamins will be ready to be harvested from July to September.
