Foxglove "Gloxiniaeflora" (Digitalis purpurea) is an easily cultivated and extremely beautiful plant that perfectly fits garden arrangements. Erect flowering stalks emerge over the tufts of hairy leaves in summer. Single bell-shaped flowers are gathered in large ear-like inflorescences. The variety mix available in our store allows you to enjoy multicolour blooms, from white to purple, all with speckled calyxes. Flowers that develop gradually adorn garden borders all summer long and may be used as cut flowers. Foxglove particularly fits into rustic and naturalistic gardens. This melliferous plant will attract bees and butterflies to your garden.

This biennial plant may be easily grown from seeds. Beginning of summer is the right time to sow foxglove seeds onto a seed bed. Transplant seedlings to the permanent site in autumn, they will bloom in the summer the following year. Foxgloves prefer sunny sites, but since it grows well in partial shade, too, it may be planted under trees. It thrives in properly cultivated, permeable and moist soils that are rich in humous and lime.
