"Sandra" garden balsam (Impatiens balsamina) is summer flowering plant with exceptionally attractive blooms. This annual plant develops stems that may grow ca. 60 cm tall. Its stems are covered with elongated, spiky leaves and the blooms develop numerously in the upper parts in leaf angles. Blooms of the "Sandra" touch-me-not or garden jewelweed, as this plant is often called, take on bright purple colour that nicely contrasts with the pale green leaves. These large blooms will quickly become an impressive part of every flowery composition, and they will adorn borders and flower beds from June to October. We recommend to plant them in groups to create a colourful spot, but they also look great planted alongside fences and walls.

Garden balsams may be grown from seedlings prepared at the beginning of spring indoors or from direct sow to the soil in May. Garden balsam seeds germinate quickly, but the seedlings may only be transferred outside after the risk of frosts has passed. These universal plants grow well both on sunny and shady sites. Sandy, permeable soil rich in nutrients and water suits them best.

Each package contains 2 g of the "Sandra" garden balsam seeds. Growing instructions and the sow-by date are included in the package information.
