Garden Gloxinia is a perennial plant that grows 40 to 60 centimetres in height. It boasts charming pink trumpet flowers with a lovely yellow centre . Garden Gloxinia, whose flowering period lasts from June to July, is particularly recommended for rockeries, rocky gardens or perennial beds.

Growing: sow the seeds under cover or in a seedbed from March to May. The seeds germinate in 15 to 20 days at 15-18oC. Plant out into a permanent position in the spring or from August to September. The plants require well-drained fertile permeable soils that contain calcium. This variety roots at least 8 centimetres deep; it requires to be covered for the winter and prefers sunny or semi-shaded positions. Twelve grams of seeds produce around one thousand plants.
