The Kaska (Kate) root parsley (Petroselinum crispum) is a medium early variety whose roots reach crop maturity in 180 - 200 days from the sow. It produces elongated, conical roots that may grow large, 15 - 20 cm long and weigh 150 - 200 g. They take on creamy-white colour and are very firm, what makes them perfect both for direct consumption and processing. You may also store them all winter long. Parsley roots contain vitamin C and large amounts of calcium, phosphorus, iron and magnesium.
Parsley does not belong to thermophilic plants and even younger plants survive the frost, what makes winter cultivation possible. Seeds are sown then in November. Parsley is grown exclusively from direct sow to the ground and it may be cultivated in ridges. Seeds should be sown in early spring in rows 20 - 25 cm apart. You will achieve best crops in humous, fertile, sufficiently moist soil, whose reaction should be close to neutral.
Each package contains 100 grams of medium early Kaska root parsley seeds. The package information contains a growing guide and the sow-by date.
