Oxeye Daisy is a popular ornamental plant with a characteristic head, which consists of ligulate petals and a yellow disc. This is a perennial that grows 30 to 40 centimetres in height. Oxeye Daisy, which flowers from June all the way to September, is a superb cut flower and is especially recommended for planters, flower beds or borders.
Growing: sow the seeds under cover or in a seedbed in the spring. The seeds germinate in 14 to 20 days at 15-18oC. Plant out into a permanent position in 20x40cm spacings from August to September. The plants require sandy-clay fertile soils, preferably in sunny positions. Three grams of seeds produce around one thousand plants.
